Are you approaching this second month of the year feeling stuck, lost and depressed — in your own Groundhog Day? Take a few small steps this week. Start by listing three things you’re passionate about and then looking at ways you can bring those to life this week.
Hi this is Dan Miller – and yes you’re listening to the 48 Days Radio show – where each week we take 48 minutes to dive into real life questions about finding your passion, deciding what kind of life you want to live – and then finding or creating work that allows you to show up every day, excited to be able to do something that is meaningful, fulfilling – and profitable. This is where normal, indecision and ambiguity come to die. Welcome to the 48 Days Radio Show.

3. How can I make plans for the future if I’m depressed?

List 3 Passions and 1 Action Item for each. I like this, thanks Dan!
I worked for a car rental company and I was uneasy about the hidden charges and questionable billing. I am about to have a degree in accounting and I don’t feel entirely comfortable with some billable hours. I am learning that from my current internship.
I worked for a company that treated employees like disposable objects. I know that we are all essentially replaceable but I still feel uneasy about it. If someone did lose his job, there was absolutely nothing I could do. The line is always “the policy of the company is….”. We were hourly workers but we had metrics that were almost impossible to keep. Every once in a while some person we never heard of would send an email telling us that our numbers are this. But no advice on how to improve. Only to improve or find the door.
Is this what jobs are going to be like from now on? Trying to take all the customers money by any means necessary. Or being treated like a garbage and expected to reach unattainable goals.\
I know I want to help people but I also want to make a living doing so. I especially want to help others after watching people in tears after being fired for practically no reason. How can I find a job that doesn’t make me feel dirty?
