Don’t expect “passion” to show up fully developed. It’s typically more developed than discovered. Start by following your Curiosity, build some Proficiency, develop your Passion, find a Purpose, provide a Promise, and enjoy the Profits. Anyone can start with 10 ideas and from there, have a clear direction, plan and profits in 48 Days.
Episode #808 December 10, 2021
Hi this is Dan Miller – and yes you’re listening to the 48 Days Radio show – where each week we take 48 minutes to dive into real-life questions about finding your passion, deciding what kind of life you want to live – and then finding or creating work that allows you to show up every day, excited to be able to do something that is meaningful, fulfilling – and profitable. This is where normal, indecision and ambiguity come to die. Welcome to the 48 Days Radio Show.
Questions:
Can I have multiple business ideas under one business name?
Yes, you can, if activity in one fuels activity in another. If they’re unrelated, I would keep them separate so people don’t get confused about what you do. The best scenario is to have multiple services/parts of your business but they are connected and fuel each other. Find out more about Dan’s Venn Diagram here.I looked for my passion and found nothing.
Go deeper to develop your passion. Start with what you’re curious about. That can become a passion if you have some talent in that area and see a need. Then you can create a plan to meet that need and put a whole of of money in your pocket. I interviewed a musician in the 48 Days Eagles Community on our Monday Mentor Call this week, and she has done an amazing job at taking her passion and building a business, including:- licensing her music
- Facebook streaming
- merchandise
- small concerts in her house
- a major concert that she has raised $21,000 in sponsorships for in addition to the ticket sales
I’m making too much money at my regular job to focus enough time on my side business.
The question is, “where do you want to be three years from now?” If your regular job is serving you well, you don’t have to change. You can develop hobbies and other interests on the side, but you don’t necessarily have to build a side business. Grab our free Goal Setting Guide for 2022 at 48days.com/goalsAfter 38 years of pastoral ministry, I’m struggling with charging for coaching.
It was actually when I started to charge for my coaching that people began to look at me as a professional rather than just a nice guy at church. Remember, people value what they invest in — and you won’t end up resenting it. Find out more about some of the resources we have to help you develop your coaching business at 48days.com/university. There are 4 different categories of making money: 1. Employee 2. Self-employed 3. Business Owner 4. InvestorHow can I make the money promised in the MLM company?
The real essential question is, “is this business model a fit for you?” Get involved with things that are at the intersection of what you understand and what you enjoy.Quotation:
