Have you ever felt like you had to choose? What does your life now tell us about the choices you’ve made? In this conversation with Michael Hyatt he shares how to sleep more as a way of accomplishing more. How to enjoy a “profitable pause” as a surprising way to succeed more. And how to start the process of winning more, no matter where you are today.
Episode #773 April 16, 2021
Hi this is Dan Miller – and yes you’re listening to the 48 Days Radio show – where each week we take 48 minutes to dive into real-life questions about finding your passion, deciding what kind of life you want to live – and then finding or creating work that allows you to show up every day, excited to be able to do something that is meaningful, fulfilling – and profitable. This is where normal, indecision and ambiguity come to die. Welcome to the 48 Days Radio Show.
Questions I asked my friend Michael Hyatt:
Tell us about that day that gave you your biggest win and also the pain of a big failure.
Don’t we have to work more hours to accomplish more?
How is “balance” different from spending time equally in the important areas of life?
Is there really such a thing as a “profitable pause?”
Can a person in a traditional job win at work and succeed in life as you’re describing?

Hi Dan,
I was listening to this episode and when you and Michael were talking about getting enough sleep, it reminded me of a reframe I shared on social media a few weeks ago:
Instead of thinking of 9-5 as a typical workday, what if you reframed it as an ideal night. If you went to bed at 9 and woke up at 5, that is an 8h sleep night. (If you can do and 8-4, that’s even better.)
While there are those who claim that late night is when they are the most productive, I suspect that their mornings are cheated as a result. However, those who get up early tend to have much more productive complete days.
Just thought I’d share this as I found it helpful and hopefully someone browsing through these comments will too!
Thanks for all you do Dan!
~Cam
