Great stuff as always Dan. I can’t begin to tell you how freeing it was when I changed my mindset to focus on those things I can control or change. No matter what my circumstances, I can always control my response.
I totally agree with you Dan regarding taking a break from watching the news but I have to be honest with you. My Dad, brother, husband and son have be racially profiled by police officers. My family and I have an expectation that police officers are here to protect and serve but we see things done differently in our communities. A positive attitude is good to have but if I was to ignore the injustice it would be like me walking around with my eyes closed and going against how I was raised to stand up for justice and equality.
