Great stuff. I constantly hear examples of how charging a certain price(one that is usually higher) creates value for others and you can actually help more people, have more success, etc. There also seems to be a narrative here that doing this is somehow more “spiritual.” Pricing products/services at a higher price point simply gives you access to a segment of the population that has MORE income. If you do not price it at that level(or make it free) you fail to be noticed by that segment of the population. Many people/business have great success helping poorer populations, who pay nothing for the services they receive, through different avenues, NGO’s, Non-Profits. Just stop making it a spiritual argument when it is really an economic argument. If you charge a certain price and market to a more affluent market you can have that experience of success. If you support poorer populations you can have a different set of success. It’s all about who you want to serve. It’s not more spiritual or more successful either way. If you want to serve a certain type of client and are afraid to charge more because you don’t believe in yourself then you can overcome that and charge more. Again, just don’t make that more spiritual than someone who says I don’t want to charge more and I want to bust my ass serving this group of people. I think it would important for this discussion to be had because too often I hear the charging more=spiritual=success narrative. Thank you for all the work you do.
