And I do mean devoured, I could not put it down. Finally, after 62 years of being the round peg in the square hole for trying to unwrap my gifts in a world that hadn’t seen gifts quite like them before, and discouraged me from even taking off the bow, much less ripping open the package. My life changed in January 2022 when I was let go from my previous job. I used the concepts from 48 Days materials to weed through the job market. At my age (58) I was VERY deliberate in choosing my next job. I got the job I wanted at the salary I desired.
I tell people when they come to live events I expect them to get a ten times return in the next twelve months, ten times what they invested, no matter what it is.

There’s nothing that has opened new doors of opportunity for me more than reading great books. As a little farm kid, we didn’t have radio or TV, but I had access to books through a little local library.
It was a little community-funded library, but they had some books there, and I would be drawn to those, and I’d sit in the aisles and read. When I could sneak away from the farm and be able to do that, I’d take books home. But books have been what have opened the doors of opportunity for me again.
More than anything else, I still love to read. I read both old books and new books. Doesn’t have to be brand new for me to enjoy it.
