There are many times when quitting is the smartest thing to do. If you’re hitting your thumb with a hammer, don’t try to do it better or more efficiently – stop hitting your thumb. Quit – look for a better alternative. Don’t focus on the humiliation of quitting or consider it giving up. See this as a go-up opportunity. Quitting or giving up on the thing where you’re just mediocre or that is making you miserable is not a humiliation – it’s a brilliant decision to move to something better. It can free you up to move into your Zone of Genius.
Episode #829 May 06, 2022
Hi this is Dan Miller – and yes you’re listening to the 48 Days Radio show – where each week we take 48 minutes to dive into real-life questions about finding your passion, deciding what kind of life you want to live – and then finding or creating work that allows you to show up every day, excited to be able to do something that is meaningful, fulfilling – and profitable. This is where normal, indecision and ambiguity come to die. Welcome to the 48 Days Radio Show.
Thank you for being a listener of this podcast. I love hearing from you and being allowed to think through the questions we all have about finding or creating work that matters, for people who care.

Quotation:
“Quitting a job doesn’t have to mean giving up. A job is just a tactic, a way to get to what you really want. As soon as your job hits a dead end, it makes sense to quit and take your quest to a bigger marketplace - because every day you wait puts your goal further away.” Seth GodinClick To TweetListener comment:
“I’ve listened to loads of podcasts but keep coming back to the fact that the clarity and relevance of your messages stand head and shoulders above the others!” – Taza, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom
