Seek out the characteristics of God and see what He desires for you You will see Selfishness thoughts as you mention and Fantasy block you from HIM and may harm you not help you nor use your gifts. When that things clicks it sure can seem like this is too fun it can’t be work..and ya feel bad..yet opportunities:)
I’m a bit surprised by Dan’s answer to the guy that’s been in the banking industry for 10 years and has been promoted to an executive position. Dan basically says that the guy should embrace the new position and use it to grow as an individual. He discourages the guy to go back to his old position.
I’ve been a listener to Dan’s Podcast for several years, and Dan has repeatedly stated that he has seen time after time front line workers who are good at what they do, get promoted to management and then they flounder because it’s not a good fit for them personality wise. And that’s what this guy seems to be saying all throughout his letter to Dan. Yet Dan seems to ignore how this guy is wired and instructs him to press on and develop his sales skills because we are all in sales to some degree. I can’t help but think this guy will continue to struggle internally and externally with his new position and Dan’s advice. Just my opinion.
