Great words of wisdom, great song, and a great way to kick off the new year! Thanks always, Dan, for your wonderful podcasts, including the one of 12/29 with a free “How to Win Friends…” pdf. Have a great 2016, the Year of the Monkey…
Cheers,

I did a rough outline on my goals work and relationship wise yesterday.
Two words I put down as a focus was “Stepping out.”
– This includes moving out on own. (Currently living with some family.)
– To do this, it requires more income.
– Also, growth in particular relationship.
– Stepping out of debt. (Debt to family.)
My word for 2016 is “mindful” I’m going to spend time every day (preferable every hour) calming my mind and being in the present moment.
Thanks for everything Dan. Love your podcast!
My word for 2016 is JOY! Over the past few months I’ve been intentionally looking at everything in my life through the filter of JOY. As I’ve been cleaning and organizing for 2016, I’ve asked myself if each item continues to bring me joy. If it does, it remains a part of my life and my home. If not, it gets thrown out or donated. Each day when I wake up, I resolve to live joyfully. It’s made a huge difference in the way I feel and the way I approach each day. I’m looking forward to the most joyful year ever in 2016!
My word for the year is “Smile”. I went through the course, Influence: Mastering Life’s Most Powerful Skill. Professor Brown said the best way to raise your income is to smile. Since my financial goal this year is to make better money, I intend to put this word into practise.
Keith – oh I like that. And I like the expectation that smiling more will increase your income. I’m 100% confident it will – give us an update in December.

Gary – Ah yes, year of the monkey. I’ll have to think about that. Thanks for your comments.

Still setting up action points.
Christopher – sounds great. Make it a year of Stepping Out.
“Live” rather than exist.
I love your description of wonder. It is that sense of awe, and the ability to see the world through the eyes of a child that keeps us forever young.
Thanks Steve. I’m really immersing myself in Wonder already. Just having the focus allows me to recognize it more readily.

Kim,
Sounds great. And I love your plan to eliminate those things that do not bring you JOY.
After listening to this the other night Dan I think my word for the year is going to be “Zeal”. I want more zeal in everything I do! 🙂 Great thoughts!
“Undistracted”
Adam – that’ll work. Hope your focus brings you success in lots of areas.
Thanks Dan!
