1. The more I listen to your podcast or similar podcasts (Michael Hyatt, Dave Ramsey/Entreleadership) the more helpless I feel in my search for career happiness, at times I’m starting to feel bitter.
2. Dan every night I listen to podcasts, watch ted talks and listen to audio books about finding your passion, starting a business or personal development. I’ve listened to over 30 of the books most entrepreneurs say to read. I’ve done this since 2008. There has been no change.
3. I have a great job; however, I’m not fulfilled.
4. I accepted a new position in a company that provided me an almost 30% increase over what I was making previously.
5. How do you get over not getting the job? It is devastating!

I make sure to download these so I can listen on my commute home. For some reason no link for the audio came through in the email, perhaps it is my service provider. Thanks!
Dan those listeners need to take action. Listening is one thing but action is another. Only by action can things change
Vincenzo, they did take action. Well, at least the woman did; not sure about the guy. The woman even did like 70 podcasts. Now that’s action. I can relate to her; I haven’t seen any real change in my life despite reading books, taking risks, changing careers, “looking within”, hiring a life coach, hiring a career transition company, etc… Not sure why. I guess there’s no magic pill or guarantee of success.
True even the journey must of helped or made a difference? Do you regret the past? Or do you see what you achieved as positive.
Not sure if it has helped, but my finances have definitely suffered as a result. I know my personality really well. I know the type of work environment I want. But I still don’t know the “what” [I want to do].
Yes, I think I am starting to regret the past because I have really “achieved” nothing. After a journey that started in 2003, it has yielded some heartache. I’m depressed, desperate and broke.
your two wants sound against each other. you know your personality well. the type of work environment….but then don’t know the what you want to do
I don’t understand your point. It is very possible to know one’s personality, desired work environment, but not what they want to do… I know because I’ve been living it for a long time.
