Do You Ask For Help?
I walk about 20-25 miles a week. I love being out early in the morning and seeing our neighborhood come to life. But lately I’ve been having big problems with blistered toes and sore calves. Some days I could hardly make it home.
But today – those problems are gone. I can walk indefinitely – like Forrest Gump I’m tempted to just keep going. Let me tell you what changed and what the principle is that can very possibly remove some pain points from your life as well.
Episode #908 July 07, 2023
Hi, this is Dan Miller – and yes you’re listening to the 48 Days Radio show – where each week we take 48 minutes to dive into real-life questions about finding your passion, deciding what kind of life you want to live – and then finding or creating work that allows you to show up every day, excited to be able to do something that is meaningful, fulfilling – and profitable. This is where normal, indecision and ambiguity come to die. Welcome to the 48 Days Radio Show.
Questions:
Do you have an area in your life where there’s ongoing pain? Something that you dread every day?
Are you tolerating mediocrity in your life in some area – where there is probably a readily available solution?
Do you ask for help?
Are you willing to try something new? To break what may be a habit at this point, with the potential of eliminating that pain?
I’ve had many areas in my life where I’ve found value in asking for help and trying something new:- Our 48 Days Team’s recent work with a coach after I read 10X is Easier Than 2X by Dan Sullivan and Dr. Benjamin Hardy
- My search for a spiritual coach
- A health issue I experienced a few years ago. After seeing eight different medical specialists, I was introduced to Dr. Randy James, a Functional Medicine Doctor. We experimented a lot with diet, exercise, supplements, work habits, and more. Today, I enjoy far better health than I did 20 years ago. All because I decided I needed to ask for help and then make some changes.
