There are two kinds of success
- I’ve been exploring career choices for a year now.
- I’m having a tough time finding my passions in order to pursue them because my family is in and has been in survival mode for years.
- Will you buy 4800 Winnie dolls from my friend?
- I am currently a massage therapist by trade, and have been having trouble making ends meet.
- I make $10 and I’m currently in school for the 4th time trying to give it one last try.
“There are two kinds of success. One is the very rare kind that comes to the man who has the power to do what no one else has the power to do. That is genius. But the average man who wins what we call success is not a genius. He is a man who has merely the ordinary qualities that he shares with his fellows, but who has developed those ordinary qualities to a more than ordinary degree.”

Dan – Do you realize that the above quote by THEODORE Roosevelt has been used with a picture of a statue of FRANKLIN D. Roosevelt?
Randy – you are so right! I’ll have to talk to my graphics guys. Good catch.
4800 Winnie Bunny Dolls……. Team up with a “Bunny Rescue” Organization and make a Fundraiser where a good portion of the sales helps the Bunny Rescue. Sell them for holidays to all the animal lovers and let the Bunny Rescue help promote. As an animal lover I would buy them for Christmas gifts just because they help bunnies.
Dan, When I first heard your request for ideas of where these 4800 Winnie Bunny Dolls could be marketed i immediately thought of child psychologists where they might be able to be used for the intended purpose. But driving along i also though of Day Care facilities, pediatrician offices, Children’s hospitals, Cancer Centers where Children are treated, and even Churches for their child Sunday school classes. And elementary schools for that matter. There are many places this person could contact to try and sell these items.
I hope this helps this person at least recoup his $85,000 but I’d like to see him find out that he has the next Cabbage Patch Kid.

Hi Dan, So the Winnie bunny caught my attention today when I heard about it on the podcast. So I did some quick research. I found the website lacking a lot, no buy button!! I run an Amazon business with currently 5 private labeled products and 3 more on the way for the Holidays. My friend and I partnered together and started in June. Its a massive learning curve but a fun challenge as well as holding down a 60hr/week trucking job. I’m developing an eye when it comes to selling products online. So I would be interested in speaking with the person that has these bunny Dolls. I think between Amazon and Ebay we could perhaps slowly but gradually recoup all or most of all his money!! =)
Loved all the questions and advice for stay at home mom’s on this podcast Dan! 🙂 By the way, thanks for the shout out too! You are a great guy! 🙂
Jordan – ah thanks. I love sharing all the real stories.
Winnie would be a great product to sell at holiday trade shows! Moms are all over those shows here in the South. That’s how the Elf on the Shelf book/doll combo got started. The mother/daughter team traveled around and offered autographed copies of their book with the set for three years before they hit it big. They also got their product into mail order gift catalogs in the early days to help with exposure. Just some suggestions. I think it would be great for Children’s Hospital gift shops, as someone mentioned down below. Such a wonderful gift for that occasion. Blessings on your endeavor!
