School days have resumed. I walk every morning on our country roads =96 th= is morning I had to dodge the traffic =96 school kids driving like maniacs = to get back to class. I trust their aggressive behavior on the roads will = translate into an enthusiastic pursuit of learning in the classroom.

Now I could be upset about the driving habits of these kids =96 or I could = =93reframe=94 my situation and simply walk earlier in the morning. Startin= g tomorrow I=92ll walk before my meditation time =96 beating the traffic an= d the morning heat. You talked about the person who sold his business for $30,000,000 and he= is having the time of his life and has started another business and is doi= ng a lot of other things. Who can=92t when you have that much money? We al= l don=92t have that kind of money to play with. I think that it is in bad t= aste to talk about that because a lot of the people that listen to your sho= w are out of work. I am retired and I don=92t have $30,000,000.00. This rea= lly turned my off. Let=92s get down to reality that the biggest part of the= population are not rich.

Dear Mr. Reality,

It appears from your note that misery loves company. Much of what I offer = people is hope and encouragement for a better life. And that can come from= understanding the successes of other people. If we don't watch and learn = from people who have been extraordinarily successful then we would have to = settle for mediocrity. That's not my goal. I'm sorry it offended you but = I'm always going to be calling people to expect more and to see a brighter = future. Examples like this should be an inspiration -- not a turn off. I = am seeing people in retirement who for the first time have the opportunity = to release their talents and passions -- often finding work that is fulfill= ing and that brings unexpected financial gain. I trust you'll experience t= hat as well.

What do you think? Does it irritate you to hear about other people=92s suc= cess? I would caution you to guard against a =93scarcity mentality.=94 Th= at belief is based on thinking that wealth is a limited commodity. So if B= ill Gates has made billions, it means a whole lot of other people are depri= ved of getting any. The truth is most people who have made a lot of money = have helped a lot of other people have access to money as well.

Enjoy others=92 success =96 spend time with and learn from those who have b= een extremely successful and you=92ll shorten the path for yourself.
