= I had an interesting discussion with Noe Torres, who handles= my yard work, last Saturday. His dad lives in a Mexican city of about 50,= 000 residents. Like many people who have relatives here, his dad has been = used to waiting each week for the check from his sons who live and work in = the United States.

Noe and his brother are true entrepreneurs =96 and began to look for opport= unities to help their dad be more self-sufficient. Their dad has always ha= d a dream of having a little ice cream shop there in Mexico. So Noe purcha= sed a couple small freezers at Home Depot here for $150 each and took them = down to his dad. He then built a 40=92x80=92 warehouse and purchased a mac= hine that makes 2500 popsicles in 8 hours. They make ice cream and stock t= hese little freezers with popsicles and ice cream goodies. They then offer= ed to place them in Mom and Pop stores around the city. No money required = =96 they simply come back the next week =96 restock the freezer and split t= he proceeds from anything that has sold.

At this point they have 23 freezers in place. The store owners love it and= Noe=92s dad is living out his dream. He is also employing about 10 grandc= hildren who are now making their own money for school clothes and supplies = by helping to stock and deliver the freezers. The average daily income in = this city is $10-15.00. Mr. Torres is currently making about $150 a day an= d they are projecting that will grow to $500/day by the end of this year. = A whole family has been removed from the expected =93welfare=94 system and = a new generation is learning the principles of work and managing money with= an opportunity right in their own backyard.

Yes, the grass frequently appears greener on the other side of the fence --= or the other side of the world. But in reality the grass is greenest wher= e it gets watered most. Is there an idea right in your backyard that could= change your family=92s financial condition?

= I am constantly amazed at the interesting jobs that actually= exist out there. Yes, a lot of jobs are boring and repetitive =96 but som= e could never be categorized that way.

Here=92s a clip several people sent my way =96 this guy maintains high volt= age lines high above the ground. The video is fascinating, and nerve wrack= ing. I like change and variety in my work, but this is nuts.
