If any of these words describes you, you are in the right place. Are you sick of being labeled a “starving artist” because of not being able to make money doing what you are most passionate about?  Are you ready to have “Wisdom” meet your “Passion?” In a follow-up to Good to Great, author Jim Collins said any organization must blend three components:

  • What is your Passion?
  • What can you do with Excellence?
  • What is your Economic Model?

Lacking clarity in any of those will cause you to fail.  So how do creatives take their unique passion and make it profitable?

Two times this year, you have the opportunity to collaborate with others and create your own plan for success.  This is a two-day intensive event focused on unleashing the creativity within you to create a life where wisdom meets passion.

In this event, we’ll answer questions such as:

  • Is passion discovered or developed?
  • How do I discover my passion?
  • Should I simply keep it as a hobby?
  • If I try to make it as a business, will I ruin the things I love about it?
  • Can anyone be an artist/musician/writer/creative?
  • What does it mean to have talent?
  • Is talent God-given or developed?

I have three words, and will explain: Go to this event! The amount of value I expected out of this event was the ticket price and maybe some more personalized things I’d heard before. The value I received from Innov48 is not quantifiable. The speaking, the giveaways, the networking, the family atmosphere, the food, and too many other things to list, had me constantly floored at how brilliant this conference was. I am now not only motivated to do great things for my business, I know what those things are. If you have to sell a kidney, go to this conference. Dan will help you more than a kidney anyway. :p  -Ryan Baker

In this jam-packed event full of “out-of-the-box” thinking and exercises, our main focus is to help you really see things in a new way – to explore ideas you aren’t already utilizing and to explore your own “acres of diamonds.”

Every participant receives an autographed copy of Wisdom Meets Passion and special WMP bonuses, Rudder of the Day, Catered Meals and incredible activities and guest speakers!

Find your best purpose

Aristotle means “finding your best purpose.” How are you discovering yours?

This is a one-minute clip where Dan discusses the power of the eagle at the Sanctuary and how it released what had been there all along – in the same way, your talents and unique gift to the world may simply be waiting to be released.

This eagle was carved out of clay and cast into bronze - created and unveiled live at Innovate!

Dorsey McHugh

Dorsey McHugh, The artistic philosophy of Dorsey McHugh lies in her favorite quote: “Look to the light and the shadows will fall behind.”  You can see her paintings and read more on her work here: www.DorseyMcHugh.com.

Dorsey McHugh’s bright and reassuring paintings feel like coming home, but the beginning of her life as a painter grew out of a time of loss. Dorsey had just begun taking art lessons when her father, a friend and confidante as well as a parent, passed away.  She was 40 and it was a turning point in her life. Her art is an expression of faith that there is always light even in the darkest of situations.

A native of the Black Hills of South Dakota, Dorsey McHugh currently resides in Nashville.  Her work can be seen in galleries in Hawaii, Washington D.C., Nashville, southern California, Chicago, Park City, and Carmel.  She will be speaking on what it means to be an artist and looking at art in a new light.

Cap that off with gifts, free books, door prizes, a tour of Dan & Joanne’s property, rubbing shoulders with some of the brightest minds anywhere, the best food you’ve ever eaten and you’ve got an experience you won’t want to miss!

Dan, you know my background and education. After four degrees and eleven years in higher education, I can honestly say that the best educational experience I’ve ever had was last week’s Innovate Conference at your place. We were so inspired to embrace our uniqueness and, at the same time, given an economic model that has been proven. The connections we made with other creative people are priceless!

Until we connect what we know with what others need to know, we are doing nothing more than building our egos and shrinking our audiences. That’s why so many well-educated people have no one to talk to.

Thanks for giving us recovering academicians a place to discover our right brains and forge ahead doing work that matters.  -Terry

Curious about what there is to do in Nashville? Make it a fun weekend by checking out our favorite things to do here!

There are literally hundreds of hotels between the airport and the Sanctuary— you can check out these Hotels in the Franklin area and pick whatever one best suits you!  (Look through our Welcome Package after registering to get our recommended hotels).

Innovate was a huge surprise. Not that I didn’t expect great things having seen the line up of speakers and topics, but there is no way to adequately promote the experience of networking, sharing, and dynamic exchanges that took place in the informal meal and break times. I didn’t anticipate how much that would figure in to the Innovate experience. Thank you Dan, Joanne, Nathan and Ashley for a marvelous and motivating experience!
