It’s rare to find someone who has loved the work he’s been doing for over 30 years. If you found someone like that, it would be worth listening to his career advice, wouldn’t you say? Well, you’re about to have that opportunity.
Today, January 3, 2013 from 12:00 noon to 12:30 PM, I’ll be joining Robert D. Smith (author of 20,000 Days and Counting and manager of New York Times best-selling author Andy Andrews) on a live launch party Spreecast for his debut book about life-planning and living every moment of every day with maximum intensity and purpose.
I’ve known Robert for a while now, and I can tell you that his infectious way of thinking will totally change your career outlook in ways I can’t even really describe. More than anyone else I’ve ever met, Robert exemplifies Thoreau’s statement: “I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, to put to rout all that was not life and not when I had come to die discover that I had not lived.” Robert always eats dessert first – and that mentality permeates everything he does.
There is no agenda with this conversation—just two friends and colleagues sharing what has worked for us over the course of our careers.
You’ll also have opportunities to ask Robert and me questions via Spreecast and Twitter. Ask anything at all, and we’ll answer some of the best ones live.
We’ll also be giving away copies of both my book, Wisdom Meets Passion, and 20,000 Days and Counting to viewers throughout the party.
Several other people you’re going to want to hear are also appearing throughout the launch party. I’m sure you’ll recognize a few of them:
- Jon Acuff, author of Quitter
- Michael Hyatt, author of Platform
- John Morgan, author of Brand Against the Machine
- Ken Davis, author of Fully Alive
I really hope you will join in on the conversation with us. Mark the time and bookmark the link below right now. You don’t want to miss this!
Dan Miller and Robert D – today at 12:00 Central
P.S. Even though I’ll be appearing from 12:00 – 12:30, the other guests will be appearing from 10 A.M. – 2 P.M. You’re going to want to check them out, too!
