I recently started listening to your podcasts and I enjoyed one on selling according to your DISC style. However, I did notice you said introverted is the same as shy and then I saw this podcast note and saw that another listener had already mentioned the difference!:) it has been my understanding that introversion and extraversion have been the ways in which people ‘get their energy’ and shyness is a clinical condition based on other factors. Shy people are introverted but not all introverts are shy. They just need more time alone than extraverts, and too much extraverting can wear us out but then we go relax, regroup and we are okay. We do prefer small groups, and of the introverts an S is probably more people/relation oriented than a C but that doesn’t mean shy. As psychology has evolved it has realized the difference.

And to add an addendum to correct myself ! all shy people are not introverted they could be an extravert trying to get out but just can’t thats why its a deeper issue than being introverted
