I enjoy your podcast every week! Thank you for the valuable information!

I am sure you must have gotten many e-mails about your podcast today! I agree work is not a curse, but we all are affected by the results of the curse. To know this you simply have to look around at a child with cancer or a loving wife who has been deserted by her husband. I don’t think there was a hurricane Katrina in the garden! God assigned man work before the fall, however, to say we are no longer under the curse since the flood is not logical. I am no theologian just a Sunday School teacher who loves to study the Bible.

When God made everything, the world was a beautiful and perfect place. Adam and Eve didn’t have to worry about weeds or bad weather. There was nothing bad and there was no curse. We get a few glimpses of this perfect world and the way life should be when we look at a beautiful flower or sunrise or hold a newborn baby. The Bible teaches us that man sinned and creation became a victim (Romans 8:20). One day we will have a new heaven and a new earth, but it is definitely not here yet!

Creation will be freed from the curse when Jesus comes back. It’s wonderful to have this hope and to know that the world will be the way God created it to be one day.

Thank you again for your program. I anxiously listen every week!

I would disagree with Carol about the ‘curse’. I think that any ill we find in the world is a result of our own human failure. Because God loves us we were given free will and we make ungodly choices sometimes as humans – we are simply victims of our own choices the consequences that result from them.

Thanks Dan for reminding us that negativity is not automatic and we have the power to create the positive.
